STEVE MULLINGS (JAM, 200 m, 1st)

„Rekord mítingu ma potešil, ale nešlo mi o čas. Chcel som vyhrať a dobre sa zabaviť. Nie, nemal som po jednostotinkovej prehre na stovke extra motiváciu. Mikovi Rodgersovi som doprial víťazstvo, sme veľmi dobrí priatelia. Škoda, že v Dubnici sú zákruty veľmi ostré a úzke. Inak by som mohol bežať ešte rýchlejšie.“

 „The stadium record made me happy but the time was not my priority. I wanted to win and have fun. No, I was not specially motivated after defeat by 0,01 at 100 m. Mike Rodgers deserves the victory, we are very good friends. It´s pitty that bends are very sharp and tight here. Otherwise I would have been able to run faster.“ 

PETR SVOBODA (CZE, 110 mH, 1 st)

„Super čas, naozaj som takýto nečakal. V piatok som bežal na Zlatej lige v Bruseli a už sa cítim veľmi unavený. Allen Johnson, aj keď má už 38 rokov, nie je za zenitom výkonnosti. Do siedmej prekážky bol pred mnou a som rád, že som nad ním zvíťazil. To bol môj cieľ.“

 „Great time, I really did not expect it. I was running in Brussels on Friday and I really feel very, very tired. Allen Johnson, although he is already 38 years old, he is still very dangerous. Until the seventh hurdle he was in front of me and I am happy to beat him. It was my main goal.“

DAWN HARPER (USA, 100 mH, 1st)

„Úžasní diváci, milé detičky, skvelá atmosféra a rýchla dráha. Milujem tento míting. Keby som nezachytila druhú prekážku, môj čas by bol ešte lepší. Ale som rada, že pri treťom štarte som tretí raz prekonala rekord štadióna.“

 „Wonderful spectators, lovely kids, excellent atmosphere and fast track. I really love this meeting. If I didi not hit the second hurdle my time would have been even better. But I happy that after the third start here I broke the stadium record for the third time.“

CHRISTINA WURTH-THOMAS (USA, 1000 m, 1st)

„Teší ma, že som zabehla najlepší tohtoročný svetový čas, aj po majstrovstvách sveta sa cítim stále v dobrej forme. Dnes sa mi bežalo skvele, veľa energie mi dodali diváci. Veľmi sa mi tento míting páči.“

 „I am pleased to break the world leading time. After the WCH i am still in a good shape. I felt very good today. The fans gave me a lot of extra energy. I really love this meeting.“ 

TOMASZ MAJEWSKI (POL, SP, 1 st)

„Konečne som vyhral nad Cantwellom. Priznám sa, veľmi som tomu neveril, lebo sa mi v súťaži nedarilo. Výnimkou bol iba môj víťazný pokus. Prekvapilo ma, že som vrhol tak ďaleko. Dúfam, že aj o týždeň na Svetovom atletickom finále mi to vyjde opäť. V Dubnici som druhýkrát a som šťastný, že ma organizátori pozvali.“

 I finally have beaten Cantwell. To be true I did not believe it much because I did not have sufficient throws. My winning attempt was the exception. I was surprised that I reached that distance. I hope to succeed next week at the World Athletics Final again. I am here second time and I am happy that the organizers had invited me.“

MARTINA HRAŠNOVÁ (SVK, HT, 1st)

„Po majstrovstvách sveta som veľa netrénovala, iba som posilňovala. Výkon 72,40 m nie je zlý, ale chcela som prekonať rekord štadióna. S mužmi sa mi hádzalo dobre, súťaž bola plynulá. Škoda, že sme mali len štyri pokusy.“

 „After the WCH I did not practice a lot, I just was reinforcing my muscles. My performance 72,40 is not that  bad but I wanted to beat the stadium record. Hammer throwing with men was ok, the competetion was quite fluent. I tis a pittywe had only four attempts.“

ISA PHILLIPS (JAM, 400 m H, 1 st)

„Vzhľadom na to, že zákruty v Dubnici sú veľmi ostré, je čas výborný. Môj hlavný cieľ bol dnes vyhrať. Ďakujem skvelým divákom i organizátorom, že pripravili výborný míting. Cítil som sa tu dobre.“

 „In spite of the bends beeing very sharp in Dubnica, the winnig time is excellent. My main goal was to win the race. I express my thanks to wonderfull fans and organizers for a great meeting. I feel extremely happy here.“

STACY DRAGILA (USA, PV, 1st)

„Som mimoriadne spokojná s výkon. Čestne priznám, že som verila maximálne tak vo výkon 427 cm. Skočila som o 20 cm viac a som veľmi šťastná. Sezónu som tento rok začala celkom dobre, ale potom sa mi prestalo dariť, nedostala som sa ani cez 420. MS sa pre mňa skončili veľmi zle. Ešte jeden míting v Paríži a asi definitívne končím. Alebo nie? Možno o rok pôjdem ešte na malé mítingy. Ak, pravda, neotehotniem... (smiech.).“

 „I am extremly satisfied with my performance. Honestly, I believed that I would jump 427 cm at the maximum today. I overcame this height by 20 cm so I am very happy. I started this season quite successfully but later I was out of good shape. I could not get over 420 cm. The WCH was quite a disaster for me. I will compete in Paris and my career is over. Or not? Maybe I will take part in small meetings. If I ever will not get pregnant (she laughed).“

PRIMOZ KOZMUS (SLO, HT, 1st)

„Výkon nie je najlepší, ale som rád, že som vyhral. Pred dvoma dňami som si totiž na tréningu poranil sval na prvom lýtku. Po majstrovstvách sveta som dosť oslavoval, v Brežiciach, kde žijem, pre mňa pripravili oslavu. Bolo na nej asi 3000 ľudí. Spoločná súťaž so ženami bola fajn, nebol by som proti, keby sme takto hádzali aj v budúcnosti. Ešte ma čaká o týždeň Svetové atletické finále, verím, že zvíťazím.“

 „My performance is not the best but I am happy that I have won. Two days ago I suffered an injury on my right calf. After the WCH I was celebrating a lot. In my hometown Brezice the people prepared a big celebration for me. There were about 3000 fans there. To compete along with women was fine. Next week I would like to win the World Athletics Final.“ 

MIKE RODGERS (USA, 100 m, 1st)

„Po piatkovom mítingu Zlatej ligy v Bruseli som sa cítil veľmi unavený. Rekord štadióna ma preto potešil, lebo mojím hlavným cieľom bolo predovšetkým víťazstvo. Boli to ťažké preteky, veď som nad Mullingsom vyhral iba o jednu stotinu sekundy. O týždeň vo Svetovom atletickom finále by som chcel skončiť na stovke v prvej trojke.“

„After the Friday´s Golden League meeting in Brussels I felt pretty tired. My main goal for today was the victory, therefore I was very pleased with stadium record. It was very though race, I beat Mullings only by one hundreth of a second. Next week I will be competing at the World Athletics Final in Solun where I would like to finish on the podium at 100 metres.“

ALEEN BAILEY (100 m, 1st)

„Nie som spokojná, zaspala som na štarte. Chcela som dnes zabehnúť čas po 11,20.“

 „I am not satisfied with my result, I got asleep at the start. My goal for today was to run under 11,20.“
